Backpacking is a great hobby. I take a snake hook with me when I am backpacking so that I can move any venomous snakes off the trail that I might come across while hiking. There is nothing worse than seeing a rattlesnake and being unprepared.

On the other hand, there is nothing better than getting outdoors and seeing the wilderness firsthand. It is great to get away from work and everything else and just see all that nature has to offer. I bring with me my sleeping pad by Exped every time that I go camping because it helps me to sleep really soundly.
